A telecommunication or Software IP company has a great idea and/ or product which could be of interest to the automotive industry. What seems so easy can become a difficult task. What they believe is good for the automotive world, does not necessarily mean, the OEM sees it the same way. Over the years, I have seen many companies fail to offer leading edge solutions to the other industry due to communication problems.
Or, a company, already established as a tier1 supplier to the automotive industry, wants to widen its scope. They want to grow from a local or niche player to a global solution provider.
May be a company faces a difficult time due to changes in the market and demand for different products and technologies. The business model needs adaptation and the company must be realigned to support the new strategy. This requires change on all hierarchy levels.
